  3. This program contains a few functions for 
  4. determining if an ImageWriter is connected
  5. and if so, which port it should be connected to.

  7. The different thing here is this also determines
  8. if the printer is the AppleTalk or Serial one
  9. using the file creator signature resource of
  10. the driver.
